THOUGHTLESSNESS

I smoke –
and care about the environment.

It's pretty short-sighted to just throw cigarette butts and litter into the environment. At BVTE, we want to find a sustainable solution to the problem of cigarette waste and are therefore committed to raising awareness and changing consumer behaviour in the long term.

Through our campaign designs and, in particular, our practical, reusable and recyclable pocket ashtrays, we at the BVTE have raised awareness among smokers about the proper disposal of their cigarette butts. Since the start of the BVTE environmental campaign in 2020, thanks to the numerous supporters – many of whom are volunteers – a total of just under one million pocket ashtrays, over 100,000 leaflets and more than 1,500 posters have been distributed free of charge across the country.
This is a tremendous success! We would like to thank all the dedicated environmentalists – individuals, clean-up initiatives, cities and local authorities – for their active participation in creating a cleaner environment.

The free distribution of promotional materials has now come to an end.

As part of the campaign, we are continuing to sponsor cigarette-style collection bins for particularly polluted ‘hot spots’. Anyone interested in equipping such a ‘hot spot’ with a collection bin is welcome to contact us.
